God’s promise is your comfort

Scripture Notes on Psalm 119, 1-88

Remember your word to your servant, in which you have made me hope. This is my comfort in my affliction, that your promise gives me life. (Psalm 119:49-50)

When hard times come, where can you find hope to carry you through? Where can you turn for encouragement?

You can turn to the promises of God.

When God gives you a word, it will surely come to pass. When He makes a commitment, He will always, always keep it. When He tells you in Scripture that He will never leave you nor forsake you, He will always be true to that promise.

God remembers His word to you. Now, you remember it, too, and take heart in this truth.

God’s promise is your comfort.
