God’s Hope for Your Heart from 2 Corinthians 6
GOD’S FAVOR IS FOR YOU TODAY
For He says, “In a favorable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation. (2 Corinthians 6:2)
Do you ever feel the need to “clean yourself up” before you can come to God? Do you ever think that even though God loves you, maybe He doesn’t always like you very much?
Nothing could be further from the truth!
God’s favor doesn’t depend on your goodness, but on the goodness of Jesus. Salvation doesn’t rest on your worthiness, but on the infinite worth of Jesus.
God doesn’t love some fixed-up future version of you; He loves the real you, right here, right now!
He wants you to be saved.
He wants you to be blessed.
So, if you’re not in Christ, today is the day to turn to Him. And, if you are, then you can have hope because of this truth: God’s favor is for you today.
