God draws near to hear your prayer

Scripture Notes on Psalm 116

I love the Lord, because he has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live. (Psalm 116:1-2)

Some people believe God stands far off, uninterested in human affairs, but this is not the God of Scripture.

Some people feel God doesn’t care about them, that He doesn’t want to be bothered by the details of their everyday lives. This, too, is not the God of Scripture.

The Bible shows us the truth about God and His character. It reveals that the Sovereign Lord of the Universe is never too busy and never too distant to hear the prayers of His children.

On the contrary, when you find yourself in need and you lift your heart to heaven, if you’re in Christ you can have confidence in this truth.

God draws near to hear your prayer.
