Delight and Desire

What are your deepest desires?

Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him…” -Psalm 37:4-7a

As we delight ourselves in God, we find that our greatest desire becomes Christ. Christ is, indeed, our righteousness, and He will be “brought forth” in our life as we abide in Him, waiting patiently for the promised deliverance of God from the myriad mazes of the circumstances in which we find ourselves.

  1. Love it!  One of my favorite scriptures for that very reason!  God’s righteousness is growing in me daily, and I love to see what He is doing in my VERY OWN life.  It’s awesome to see change in others, but even more awesome to see that good change in ME.  Thank you, God!

  2. Perfectly put!  Thank you for the reminder to “be still” before the Lord-(something I stink at by the way!) and to wait patiently as HE delivers us in HIS perfect time and perfect manner from circumstances that are in fact beyond our control.
