God made you an eternal heir

God’s Hope for Your Heart from Titus 3

GOD MADE YOU AN ETERNAL HEIR

He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to His own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.  (Titus 3:5-7)

When God saved you, it was not so that you would become an employee, but so that you could be part of the family.

When God saved you, it wasn’t so that He could give you the “minimum required grace” to get to heaven, but so that He could show His lavish love through your life.

When God saved you, it wasn’t just so you could live a better life now, but so you could be part of His Kingdom forever and ever.

Here’s more good news… You didn’t earn this blessing, so you have no need to fear losing it!

Not only that, but you also have no right to feel entitled to it.  Just receive it with joy and thanksgiving and let this truth fill your heart with grateful confidence: God made you an eternal heir.
