Slaves to a Better Master

True “freedom” isn’t found in having no master, but in finding a better one.

For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace… and having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.” -Romans 6:14, 18

In Christ, though we may stumble, we are slaves no more… to sin, that is.  Though the Word speaks of a kind of “slavery” to righteousness, it is a wholly other form.

Moving from the false “freedom” of sin to the true peace of “slavery” to God’s righteousness is like a horse trading a 10×10 pen and a trip to the glue-factory for a 10,000 acre pasture and a Master who will love and care for them ’till the day they die.

I’ll take that trade any day. How about you?
