A couple of weeks ago I preached a message for the people of outpostChurch called “Hold the Line.” It was an encouragement to stand strong in the face of temptation, and a reminder that Jesus is with us in our time of greatest need. You can listen to the message here. I shared a short poem in closing, and wanted to share it with you. I pray it’s a blessing.

“Hold the Line”
When the struggle is hard and the battle is fierce, hold the line.
When the onslaught is strong and you’re feeling so weak, hold the line.
When your enemy comes and you’re feeling alone, hold the line.
When you cry out for help and you’re still on your own, hold the line.
When the fear is the deepest, hold the line.
When the wait is the longest, hold the line.
When the night is the darkest, hold the line.
When the pain is the strongest, hold the line!
When it feels like you’re losing, hold the line,
For your Savior is coming, hold the line,
Your deliverance is near, hold the line.
Hold the line, hold the line, HOLD THE LINE!

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. (Ephesians 6:13)
