God will defeat your enemy

Scripture Notes on Psalm 143

And in Your steadfast love You will cut off my enemies, and You will destroy all the adversaries of my soul, for I am Your servant. (Psalm 143:12)

Sometimes life can feel like such a battle, can’t it?

We strive against sin and temptation.

We struggle with discouragement and fear.

We wrestle and work to make progress, while it seems like there are forces arrayed against us to hold us back and drag us down.

It feels that way because there are.

Satan is real. His hatred is genuine and his power is great, but take heart. God’s power is infinitely greater, and if you’re in Christ, He is on your side! He’s not looking for you to prove yourself, but to press in to His power and let Him do battle on your behalf.

Yes, you have a spiritual enemy, but you also have a supernatural protector who is ready and able to come to your aid at any time. Call on Him and trust in Him, and find courage in this empowering truth.

God will defeat your enemy.
