Scripture Notes on James 2
Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him? (James 2:5)
When you look at what you lack, it’s easy to lose heart. When you focus on where you fall short, it’s easy to get discouraged. When you dwell on what you don’t have, it’s easy to miss what you do have.
You have the treasure of the Kingdom!
If you’re in Christ, your level of worldly success is no match for the heavenly blessings God has for you. What you lack in the physical, God wants to provide in the spiritual in much greater amounts!
Yes, God provides for physical needs and loves to do it, but in the in-between seasons when you feel you don’t have what you wish, take heart in this glorious truth.
God turns your lack into a heavenly abundance.
