God is your glorious deliverer

God’s Hope for Your Heart from Psalm 50

GOD IS YOUR GLORIOUS DELIVERER

Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and perform your vows to the Most High,
and call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.
(Psalm 50:14-15)

Days of trouble come for us all.

There is no life that escapes unscathed from the brokenness of this world, no heart that gets by without pain.  There is no family that is spared from the death of a loved one or the loss of a dream, and we all experience sickness and pain.

But God wants to deliver you.

You see, God loves to take care of His children!  Not only that, but He knows that as He frees your heart, He inspires your thanks and praise, and God is passionate about His glory.

He may lift you out of your hardship, or strengthen your heart to endure.  He may free you from your pain, or give you the grace to persevere.  Either way, it’s still His deliverance, because He loves you and knows what’s best for you in every circumstance.

That means that regardless of how you feel today, you can have confidence that whatever you’re asking of God, His answer will be for your ultimate good.

So, trust Him in this today, and as you do, may you find hope in this truth: God is your glorious deliverer.
