Go Wash

Jesus heals by faith, but He’s creative in the way He does it…

[Jesus] spat on the ground and made mud with the saliva. Then he anointed the man’s eyes with the mud and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means Sent). So he went and washed and came back seeing.  -John 9:6-7

John 9 tells the story of a man born blind whom Jesus saw, had compassion on, and healed.

Interestingly, unlike most of the healings of Jesus, this time the man never asked for it.  Jesus simply saw Him and decided to intervene.  Here’s the thing, though.  Jesus told the man to “go wash in the pool of Siloam” and it was only after the man obeyed that he was healed.

Jesus may offer healing to us, but when He gives us steps to follow, it is our responsibility to exercise our faith by taking the practical steps He gives us to do.

He wants to lead us to healing.
Are you willing to follow?
