Do you ever get frustrated by “information overload?”
“Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I say this in order that no one may delude you with plausible arguments.” -Colossians 2:3-4
Paul draws a contrast here between “plausible arguments” and the person of Christ Himself. One sounds true; the other is Truth.
The difficulty is that it’s usually much easier to embrace a well-constructed set of ideas once than it is to continually take time to pursue a person.
Here’s the thing: one sounds reasonable, but the other is right.
Ideas may support you in this season, but only the person of Christ will sustain in the uncertainty of tomorrow.
Take time to dwell on the person of Jesus, and He will provide you the clarity you need for each day.
