A Pastor’s Prayer

Thank you, Jesus, for this church you’ve given me to serve.

It’s not my words that matter, but Yours.
Give me Your words, Lord, that I may share them with the people.

It’s not my songs that matter, but Yours.
Give me Your songs, Lord, that I may teach them to the people.

It’s not my ideas that matter, but Yours.
Give me Your ideas, Lord, that I may steward them for the people.

It’s not my voice that matters, but Yours.
O God, give me Your voice so that when I speak or sing for the people, they are not drawn to me, but to You, because they are not my people.

They are yours.

Amen.
